Ways to Use Body Oil

When introducing new products into our regular beauty regimen, we want to know the proper way to use the products so we can take full advantage of everything they have to offer. We are sure you have heard about body oils at some point.

You may have even considered ditching your body lotion for good body oil. Before you do, though, there are a few things you should know, including the right ways to use body oil.

Add Body Oil to a Bath

If you are a fan of a hot bath at the end of a trying day, then you can add a few drops of your favorite body oil to your bathwater. The oils will moisturize your skin as you soak and relax the stresses of your day away.

Post Shower Application

Before you dry yourself after a shower and while your skin is still damp, you can apply body oil. A small amount of body oil will go a long way. Not only can you enjoy the therapeutic aromatics of good body oil, but you can also take advantage of its moisturizing properties for your skin as well.

Use on Dry Skin

Do you have some especially dry areas of skin that need some attention? Even a small amount of oil targeting these areas can go a long way in healing dry and cracking skin.

Eliminate Stretch Marks

Body oil can penetrate deeply into the skin, which means it is also great when it comes to reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Over time, you will notice a difference as the oil helps promote skin elasticity and can help prevent the stretch marks from showing.

No More Razor Burn

We have all done it at some point or another  cut ourselves while shaving. Well, before we shave, it is important to prep our skin. To do this, apply some body oil to the legs. It helps achieve a smooth and clean shave while cutting down on irritation and razor burn.

Relieve Stress and Headaches

Many body oils have some kind of scent as well, which can go a long way in allowing us to take full advantage of the aromatic qualities of the body oils we use. If you have a headache, you can use lavender body oil on your temples. Not only will it help your headache, but it can also go a long way in relieving stress and producing a calming effect after a long and tedious day.
